If you ham is frozen, you will need to add it into a sink filled with cold water OR you can place it into your fridge. In cold water your ham can thaw between 6 or 7 hours. In the fridge it can take 2 or more days.
Preparing your ham
Step 1- Remove ham out of package.
Step 2- Drain your pineapples and cherries into 2 separate bowls using a mesh strainer. Reserve juice left over by pineapples and cherries as we will be making a ham glaze with that.
***Preheat oven to 325 degrees***
***If you are using a spiral ham preheat oven to 275 degrees***
Step 3- Add pineapples and cherries on top of your ham. Cut your toothpicks in half and insert 2 of them into the pineapples and insert only one of them for your cherries.
***Preheat fire to medium high heat***
Step 4- In a small pot add 1 cup pineapple juice, 1/2 Cup cherry juice, 1/2 cup water and 1/2 stick of unsalted butter. Let butter melt. Once butter melts stir all ingredients together.
Step 5- Add 2/3 cup sugar, 1/2 Cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon all spice, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Stir all ingredients together. Let simmer for 6 to 7 minutes or until glaze has reached a syrup consistency. Once done turn your fire off and let mixture cool for 5 minutes.
Step 6- Generously brush glaze on to entire ham.

If you have a Spiral ham, bake at 275 for 30 minutes.
