How to prepare and cook Kale

What you’ll need
2 bunches fresh kale
Earth Balance vegan butter
1 yellow onion
3 cloves garlic

Seasonings
Salt
Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning
Onion powder
Garlic powder

Preparation of ingredients
Step 1- Chop 1 yellow onion and 3 cloves garlic.

Step 2- Remove stems off of Kale by cutting the leaves surrounding the Kale stems.

Step 3- Bunch Kale leaves together and chop.

Step 4- Add Chopped Kale into a strainer and rinse with cold water.

Preheat fire to medium high heat.
Step 5- Add 3 tablespoons Vegan butter into a large pot and let melt.

Step 6- Add 1 Cup chopped yellow onion and 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic. Stir all ingredients together. Let sauté for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.

Step 7- Add 1 1/2 cups water, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning, 1 teaspoon onion powder and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Let come to a simmer.

Step 8- Add Kale and cover pot. Let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
