1. Question: Who taught you how to cook and bake?

Answer: I learned from my grandmother, aunt and uncle. I also learned a lot on my own by reading about the food I prepare, experimenting in the kitchen and working in restaurants side by side with chefs but not as a cook.

2. Question: Have you ever been to culinary school or had any professional training?

Answer: No, I’ve never had any training or been to any school. Cooking and baking are something I just learned over time. Through success and failures, I’m actually a better cook and baker than I was in the past.

3. Question- What’s the name of the pot and pan set you are currently using?

Answer- Better homes and gardens pot and pan set. It was given to me as a gift right before I started my YouTube cooking channel in 2013. It’s almost 12 years and the pot and pan set has been discontinued.

4. Question- What’s the name of the stand mixer you use?

Answer- I have a Hamilton beach stand mixer. I’ve been having my stand mixer for over 11 years. It’s a really good mixer. All I need it to do is mix without all the extra attachments and that’s about it. I’ve made hundreds of desserts with it without a problem. It’s perfect for a person like me as I don’t use it every day. You can purchase this mixer online only.

5. Question: Do you have your own restaurant?

Answer- I currently do not have my own restaurant. I operate from the comfort of my own home.

6. Question: Have you ever thought about pursuing a career in cooking or opening up a restaurant?

Answer- I have not but you can never say never. I enjoy cooking and baking from the comfort of my own home. That’s basically where I learned everything. I’m happy that I have the ability to help and inspire others with my YouTube channel. Now I have thought about doing something like a small catering business.

7. Question- Have you ever thought about releasing a cookbook?

Answer- A cookbook was one of those things that never crossed my mind. I did think about it at some point because so many people were asking me about it. When I first started my channel, I didn’t think I would ever get to this point where I have all of these followers and post so many videos of my recipes and cooking experiences. I will eventually work on a cookbook in the near future.

8. Question: How do you keep your stove, table and kitchen so neat and clean?

Answer- I always clean my stove, tables, kitchen counters with dish washing detergent and water. There’s no secret to how I get it shiny. I don’t use any chemicals of any sort. Keeping your kitchen clean in my opinion is one of the most important things when it comes to cooking and baking. It should be done before and after you cook or bake something.

9. Question: How do you stay so slim despite you eating food from the cooking channel?

Answer: A lot of factors play a role in me staying the same size. The food I cook or bake it eat it in portions until it’s gone. Most of the food you see on my YouTube channel and on this website, I’ve eaten about 85% of it by myself. As of 2024 I’ve cut back on eating the whole cakes by myself. In between meals I eat healthy and stay away from certain foods like sodas and fast food. I mostly drink water along with vegetable fruit juices. I also do a lot of walking and exercise 4 days a week.

10. Question: Do you sell any of your food or desserts?

Answer: Not much anymore due to the food quality, limitations, and prices. In the past I’ve sold supper plates every blue moon. I used to sell a lot of baked goods as well like Pound cakes, Birthday cakes, Cheesecakes, Cupcakes Cookies, Pies, Cobblers, etc. Every once in a while, I can bake something because it’s cheaper to bake but even that has become difficult due to the reasons I gave in the beginning. I will eventually get back to cooking and baking more for others in the near future.

11. Question: Do you ship any of your food or desserts?

Answer: As far as food items I’ve never shipped any of my food I cook. Some people have suggested that I freeze the food I cook and ship it to them. It is a good idea but there’s some risk involved like contamination and if the person gets sick etc. Plus the shipping costs and if the food is highly perishable it would be difficult to ship. I definitely wouldn’t want that. I have shipped baked goods before like my king cakes.

12. Question: Are you ever nervous that your table will break from placing hot pans etc on it?

Answer: I never actually thought about that. I’ve been having my glass table for a long time and I’ve never had any problems with it. The actual glass for the table is over 60 pounds. That’s pretty heavy. No concerns were ever brought to my attention until I started my Youtube cooking channel. I was always careful with my table as far as temperature goes. In my opinion It’s not the heat that would cause the table to break, I think it’s more of the sudden temperature change from hot to cold that would cause the table to break.
