Preparation of ingredients
Step 1- Sift 1 1/2 Cup All Purpose flour, 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1 2/3 Cup sugar into a large bowl. Stir well and set aside.

Step 2- Using your hands, break 4 ounces of baking chocolate into small bite sized pieces.

Step 3- Your Pecans should already be chopped. Chop your pecans to break some of the bigger pecan chunks.

Step 4-Melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter in microwave. Add 4 ounces of crumbled baking chocolate into butter. Let sit for 3 to 5 minutes. After 3 to 4 minutes stir all ingredients together. Let mixture cool until it’s warm or at room temperature. Very important. If it is too hot it will ruin your batter once you add the eggs.

Step 5- In a separate bowl add your butter chocolate mixture. Add 4 eggs in one at a time. Stirring after you add each egg. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Stir until combined.

Step 6- Add your wet ingredients into your dry ingredients. Stir until well combined. Brownie batter will be thick. This is normal.

Step 7- Butter the bottom and sides of your baking pan. Place a sheet of parchment paper into your baking pan.

***Preheat oven to 325 degrees***
Step 8- Add brownie batter into your baking pan. Spread the batter around your baking pan as evenly as possible. To make the batter more ever shake the pan slightly.

Step 9- Place into a preheated 325-degree oven for 30 minutes. Once done remove fudge brownie out of the oven. Toothpick inserted into the center will come out slightly wet. This is normal as we are making fudge brownies by the way. Let the brownie cool completely.

Step 10- Remove brown from baking pan onto a serving dish. Set aside.

Making the praline topping
***Preheat fire to medium high heat***
Step 11-Add 3/4 Cup sugar, 1 1/2 Cup evaporated milk and 1/2 stick unsalted butter melted into a medium sized pot. Let come to a simmer first. Let it simmer for 8 minutes stirring every 2 minutes.

Step 12- Add 3/4 Cup confectioners’ sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Let come to a simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes stirring every 2 minutes. After 5 minutes mixture should be thick and creamy. After 5 minutes this is the boiling pattern, you should see. Picture below.

Note- Cooking times vary it could take more or less time depending on your stove.

Step 13- Let mixture cool for 7 minutes. After 7 minutes add your praline topping on top of your fudge brownie. Spread the praline topping onto the brownie as evenly as possible. Let set for 15 minutes before serving.

Step 14- Chop your brownie into 15 squares and serve at room temperature. Enjoy!
