Tools you’ll need
1 1/2 quart ice cream maker
Plastic wrap
Air tight container or bowl

Preparation of ingredients
Step 1- Break 15 to 25 Oreo sandwich cookies into a medium sized bowl. Add the filling to 4 sandwich cookies into a small bowl and take the cookie portion and break it into the medium sized bowl with the pieces of sandwich cookies. Cover medium sized bowl and place into fridge. Place small bowl with cookie filling aside.

Preheat fire to medium high heat.
Step 2- Add 2 cups Heavy cream or Heavy whipping cream, 1 1/4 cups Whole milk, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and sandwich cookie filling into a medium sized pot. Stir and let get hot for 5 minutes. Do not let the mixture come to a simmer just heat it until it’s hot.

Step 3- Pour milk and cream mixture into a medium sized bowl. Carefully add plastic wrap on top of milk and cream mixture. This will prevent that skin from forming on the top. Cover bowl with lid and place in freezer for 2 hours or until mixture is cold.

Making your ice cream
Tip- Make sure you freeze your ice cream maker base 24 to 28 hours before you make your ice cream or according to your ice cream maker’s instructional manual.

Step 4- Carefully remove plastic from the top of the milk and cream mixture. Use a spatula to help remove some of the mixture off of the plastic as you are pulling it off the top.

Step 5- Add milk and cream mixture into ice cream maker. Let churn for 10 minutes. Add sandwich cookie pieces and use a fork or spoon to help push the cookies into the ice cream as it is churning. Let churn for an additional 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 6- Turn ice cream maker off and remove the paddle. All of the ice cream should be stuck to the paddle. Remove the ice cream off the paddle with a spoon or spatula and add it into a medium sized bowl. Stir mixture carefully only for 10 seconds. Cover with lid and place into freezer for 8 to 24 hours before serving.
