Ice cream frozen cups

Makes 14 to 17 frozen cups

What you’ll need

Note- You can use any type of flavorings, cookies, candy, spices, cereals, fruit sauces and powders of your choosing as long as it goes well with milk.
14 or 17 twelve-ounce translucent plastic cups
1-gallon whole milk
Sweetened condensed milk
Sugar
Salt
Cocoa powder
Cinnamon
Vanilla extract
Werther’s original hard caramel candy
Mike and Ike lemon candies
1 or 2 medium-sized praline or pecan candies
Apple sauce
Strawberry sauce
Crushed pineapple
1 large ripe banana
Oreo cookies
Vanilla wafers
Fruity pebbles cereal or any cereal of your choosing.

Tools you’ll need
Large 8-quart pot
Large soup spoon
11 by 17-inch baking pan

Preparation of ingredients
Milk mixture part 1
Preheat fire to medium heat.
Step 1- Add 1-gallon whole milk, 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk, 2 cups sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract into a large 8-quart pot. Stir all ingredients together. Let get hot for 12 to 15 minutes or until temperature of the milk reaches 150 degrees F.


Notes- While the milk is getting hot, prepare the ingredients and the cups for filling.
Step 2- Mash 1 large ripe banana with a spoon and set aside.


Step 3- Add the flavors to the cups. Use chart below. Once all of the flavors are added to the cups, set aside.

Notes- You can make all the cups 1 flavor or different flavors altogether. The steps below are 1 flavor per 2 cups.
Flavor chart
Vanilla flavor

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract per cup.
Chocolate flavor
Add 1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa powder per cup
Strawberry Flavor
Add 1 or 2 tablespoons strawberry sauce per cup
Cookies and cream
Break 2 1/2 to 3 whole small cookies per cup
Caramel
Add 6 or 7 small caramel candy pieces per cup
Pecan pralines & cream
Break 2 to 4 ounces in weight of Pralines or pecan candy per cup
Apple cinnamon
Add 2 ounces in weight of apple sauce and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon per cup
Banana pudding
Add 2 ounces in weight of mashed banana and break 4 pieces (2 ounces in weight) of small vanilla wafers per cup
Lemon pineapple
Add 2 ounces pineapple and 5 pieces of mike and Ike lemon candy pieces per cup
Breakfast cereal
Add 2 ounces of breakfast cereal of your choosing per cup


Milk mixture part 2
Step 4- Once the milk reaches a temperature of 150 degrees F, turn fire off. Carefully pour milk into each cup (1 1/4 cups milk mixture per cup) or until it reaches 1/2 or 1/4 of an inch from the top. Do not stir the mixture in the cups. Place them onto an 11 by 17- inch baking pan to cool for 30 minutes to 1 hour.


Freezing frozen cups
Note- Freezing times vary depending on the size of the frozen cups, and your freezer. It may take more or less time than the freezing instructions given below.
Step 5- After 30 minutes to 1 hour, the milk mixture should be cool, and candy should be melted. Stir all ingredients in each cup until combined. Place tray into freezer for 10 to 12 hours or overnight.


To serve frozen cups- Place hand around the sides or bottom of frozen cup or carefully rinse the sides the bottom of the plastic cup with warm water to thaw. Squeeze sides of plastic cup to remove frozen milk from the cup. Flip frozen milk over with your hand and place it upside down into plastic cup and serve.
